Serial #6171224 Custom 17” non-cutaway – This guitar was inspired by Gibson’s ES-250 model – features include Adirondack spruce top, blister maple back and rim, Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and bridge, “open book” position markers, NOS Gibson Super 400 tailpiece, Grover Imperial tuners and Charlie Christian style pickup.
Serial #6181224 Custom 17” – This guitar is a one-off piece with some very special features – the top is a NOS Gibson plate, carved and braced in Kalamazoo and designated as a top for Gibson’s L7 model. The back and rims are made from highly figured “blister” maple – an eastern hard maple, often used for Gibson archtops from the 30’s – 50’s, but now quite rare. Other features include large block position markers and custom peghead inlay – dark cherry sunburst finish.
